Meet Dr. Laura Russo
Dr. Laura L. Russo was first inspired to pursue the chiropractic profession at a young age when she injured her neck during gymnastics class. Her parents then took her to a chiropractor to be adjusted. After a series of chiropractic treatments, the pinched nerve in Dr. Russo's neck was fully recovered. The immediate relief and benefits she received from the chiropractor encouraged her to pursue her career in Chiropractic, and she later received her Bachelor of Science degree from Fredonia State University in 2001, followed by her Doctoral degree from NYCC, New York Chiropractic College, in 2005.
Dr. Russo is also certified in the Webster Technique and has a special certification educated by the ICPA- International Chiropractic Pediatric Association. The Webster Technique focuses on the location of the sacrum or tailbone and the two pelvic bones that make up the pelvic brim. Proper alignment and balance to the pelvic bones and the associated muscles and ligaments that support the uterus is paramount for the expansion and stretching of the pelvis to allow for the proper head-down positioning of the baby prior to delivery!! This technique is proven to prevent the necessity of caesarian sections (C-section) and encourages a vaginal birth . The Webster Technique can also be utilized when the pregnant mother is having pain or difficulties during the pregnancy and is experiencing pregnancy related back pain or discomfort, even sciatica! Dr. Russo aids the pregnant mother during the entire pregnancy and all allows for safe drug-free methods of pain relief and ease of delivery by taking care of the physical, emotional, and chemical stresses being placed on the expecting mother and baby. Dr. Russo is very family oriented and has a family practice centered on health and wellness . She treats patients of all ages including children and has been adjusting her daughter since the day she was born.
In her office she treats patients with various conditions such as: low back pain, neck pain, herniated discs, headaches, TMJ, carpal tunnel, it-band syndrome; sport-related injuries, auto-accidents, acute conditions, and chronic conditions. Her techniques are gentle, and use a combination of adjustment techniques, physical therapy, spinal decompression, stretches, and exercises for treatment plans to get you on the path to overall body health.
Dr. Russo has on site massage therapy, she recognizes that massage therapy is an important part of the health-care process and over sees and instructs the therapist in a cohesive team effort for the rehabilitation of the patient. She employs only certified licensed therapist of the highest quality and training to assist in meeting the patients over all health care needs.

Our approach to treating various conditions relates to the 3 main functions of your spine or back bone:
• Structural Support- Your skeleton is the frame work for the body and it is very symmetrical. Chiropractors look for subtle differences in the spine through observations, postural screenings, gait analysis and by taking x-rays. Seeing your spine from the inside out is very important to help identify future or current problems.
• Motion/Mobility- Most of the time people do not recognize minor disabilities like fully turning their head to the side or touching their toes. But lack of full range of motion of your arms, legs, head, neck and back can quickly turn into pain, burning, and inability to move at all. Taking care of the minor disability early can be easier and much more inexpensive. When it's left untreated it has a snowball effect on the whole body. Your body can only heal itself so fast after the primary problem is taken away.
• Protection- The spinal cord and the nerves that come off it is the electrical system of the body. If the individual bones of the spine are twisted or turned or leaning they can cause irritation. Once in the proper position, they serve to protect the cord and its nerves from outside forces.

Financial
We will be more than happy to submit all insurance forms for you and help you recover the most from your benefits. We will do everything we can to help you afford the treatment you need and want. Forms of payment accepted by the office are check, cash, or any major credit card.
Cancellation
If you are unable to keep an appointment, we ask that you kindly provide us with at least 24 hours notice. We ask for this advance notice so that we can offer this appointment to another patient. A fee of $25 will be charged if a patient does not show up for an appointment without sufficient notice. If you are more than 15 minutes late for an appointment, you will be asked to reschedule for another date or time.

We are only in-network with Anthem- Blue Cross Blue Shield. The office staff and manpower it takes to manage the high deductible, low reimbursement insurance plans distracts from our quality of care and increases our overhead, making it difficult to run the office effectively.
We will do our best to participate with those patients who have out of network insurance plans. These will be determined on a case by case basis and may be subject to time of service discounts (discount cash plans). We also offer pre-paid adjustment plans, which will save you money on your chiropractic adjustments.
